"WHAT'RE YOU LOOKING CAT?"

Monument Square, Troy

"My journey began with a lot of drawing at a young age and the discovery of oil paint at 16. Oils have been my favorite medium ever since. I enjoy the whole process of creating a painting, from stretching the canvas to its completion. Painting for me is a journey in exploring the medium itself. The World provides me with an endless stream of subjects to paint, including portraits, landscapes, animals and still life.  Rembrandt, the Hudson River School Painters, John Singer Sargent and some modern masters have had an influence on me as an artist."

A graduate of Junior College of Albany and the State University of New York at Albany Robert's artwork has received many awards.  Most recently in 2016 Robert received 2nd place in the November 2016 Bold Brush Competition as well as Honorable Mention in Southwest Art Magazines Artistic Excellence Competition.

Robert is known for his landscapes in and around Saratoga County, capturing the peaceful tranquility of Saratoga Lake to the excitement of the Saratoga Racetrack and beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs.

Robert and his wife Darlene recently relocated to Hawaii to explore a different landscape and environment.
